make a wish

cards 001

Card: Memory box reedbird die, PTI sentiment and background stamp behind the bird is from Penny Black. The background was stamped with distressed inks.

I am entering this into Cas-ual Friday and Our Creative Corner Challenges for this week.

Last weekend I started getting a cough and by Wed, I don’t think I realized how bad it was. By that night my DH had told me if I didn’t make a doctors appt. he was going to carry me in there. I don’t like being sick, but I somehow just keep going, DH works long hours and it’s just me and the kids, and things still have to get done. I went in Thursday and ended up getting a cortisone shot, nebulizer treatment and lots of meds. The shot and the breathing treatment made a huge difference and today my cough is finally almost gone. This a.m. the two little ones had their wellness check up, and they both are great. Pixie is now 22.9lbs and 31.5” and around the 25% for her age. She was not happy with the visit, and screamed almost the entire time. Wyatt was really good, although he told me he did not like being naked, even though I let him keep his shirt and pull-up on. As soon as the Dr. finished with him Wyatt said “I would like my pants now please”.  All in all it was a good visit., and  now I can check that off my list!

Have a wonderful week. Thanks for stopping by and for all of your sweet comments they make my day!

Special to me

cards 002

All stamps: Hero arts, stamped with Hero chalk ink and distressed markers

I made this card for two challenges A blog named hero and Cas-ual Fridays . These are by far my favorite colors to use on cards.

My little Pixie is changing every day, she is a little parrot now and has a long list of words she knows. She learned eyes a few weeks ago, and loves to poke you right in the eye to prove she indeed knows where they are. Wyatt is positive she is saying a bad word when she says it in her little sweet voices, I assure him she is not but it’s pretty funny. She is so addicted to the angry birds and loves to play with them, she walks around saying “birdie” and “angry bird”, so funny the things they get attached too! Both her and Wyatt enjoy playing with them together and often I find them both in Wyatt’s bed playing together.  Owen loved his cookie monster puppet and a tiny little duck puppet named “tweet”. I can still remember all those times I was awaken to a screaming toddler yelling “tweet, tweet”  because he was so tiny he had fallen through the crib and he needed him.  With Wyatt I was determined that there would be no small things with him in bed so he never really had something he was attached to. Now I feel bad about that!  I still don’t let Pixie sleep with the plush angry birds, but she does have a bunny and a giraffe lovey that must go to bed with her and usually they come out during the day.  Have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

cards 006

Card is stamped with distressed inks, shabby shutters, broken china and tumbled glass. Background stamp and text on butterfly are from Hero Arts.  Can’t be sure who the sentiment is I think Hero Arts, but it has a permanent home in my lost and found clear stamps. I am entering this into the May birthday challenge at Hero Arts.  Today after spending some time purging and cleaning my craft room I spent some time crafting. It’s been awhile since I have felt inspired and it feels good to create a few cards that I am excited about.

The weather is turning warm here, so I am trying to get the little ones outside early to enjoy the cooler part of the day. Our flower gardens are doing well right now,  now I just have to keep up with the watering. I have planted a few tomato plants, eggplant and squash. I also have tons of fresh herbs that are doing really well. We decided to forgo the large garden in the field this year for two reasons one my DH has been way to busy to prepare it and two we got very little out of it after the deer, chickens, guineas,  turkey and bugs ate it. It is very discouraging to spend all that time and work for nothing. I am hoping by next year to have a fenced area that we can work.

Thanks for stopping by have a wonderful day!
